Pittnauer Pinot Noir 2008, Dorflagen, Burgenland, Austria

This is a very pretty wine, leaping out with strawberries, raspberries and red roses. There's also a little black pepper spice hinting at some darker flavours, although the palate is really about more of that garden-in-summertime brightness. Not the most complex or lengthy, but it's pure Pinot and very likeable for it.
